The 16 used a six cylinder engine of 3618cc with the cylinders cast in three rows. The inlet valves were of a variable lift type as in the 12/14 of 1905. It used a two speed gearbox. The engine was of a T-head type and the camshafts were gear driven.
Only two examples were made. One of these cars was still running in 1923 when Sunbeam received an enquiry for parts.
